The cartons and individual packs for Liqun (Long Filter) are made from 227 gsm holographic silver metallized paperboard supplied in rolls. Prepress preparation includes gravure cylinder preparation and ink mixing. Production involves nine-color roll-fed gravure printing, application of water-based and sand-textured varnishes, and inline inkjet printing of QR codes before the paperboard is cut into sheets. Holographic anti-counterfeiting patterns and plain gold foil are then hot-stamped in sequence, complemented by textured embossing. The printed holographic silver metallized paperboard provides a refined finish, while the hot-stamped holographic patterns enhance protection against counterfeiting, making this packaging suitable for mid-range and premium cigarettes.
