The cartons and individual packs for Zuanshi (Lotus) are made from 232 gsm transfer paperboard with a transparent dielectric holographic finish featuring a horizontal light-pillar pattern. Production involves computer-to-plate (CTP) platemaking, followed by three-color and seven-color offset printing in two successive passes, varnish coating, and inkjet printing of QR codes. Three successive hot foil stamping passes create a variety of holographic effects. Screen printing adds a snowflake texture, while selective embossing and debossing enhance the main design. This combination of processes produces fine text and graphics with harmonious colors, making the packaging suitable for mid-range and premium cigarettes.
