The cartons and individual packs for Yunyan (Purple) are made from 227 gsm transfer paper supplied in rolls. Prepress preparation includes gravure cylinder preparation and ink mixing. Production involves eight-color roll-fed gravure printing, application of water-based varnish and gloss varnish, and inline inkjet printing of QR codes before the printed paper is cut into sheets. Holographic anti-counterfeiting patterns are then applied by hot foil stamping. With its fine print detail, this packaging is suitable for mid-range cigarettes.
